What is Fin?

Fin is Intercom's AI Chatbot, powered by a mix of models including OpenAI's GPT-4, alongside Intercom’s own proprietary AI technologies.

Fin solves complex problems and provides safer, more accurate answers than any AI Chatbot on the market.

You can start using Fin quickly without using any code or complex configurations.

Fin is available on EU and AU hosted workspaces, but the data used by Fin is currently processed in the US. Regional data processing for Fin will become available in early 2024.


Set up Fin how you want

With Workflows

We recommend using Workflows for the best control and flexibility. Fin can pass a conversation to an existing Workflow to triage, or a Workflow can pass to Fin to step in and offer support.

With Profiles

If you don't have access to Workflows, you can create Fin profiles to target different customers and customize each one to suit that customer segment.


Omnichannel support

Fin is supported across multiple channels, including Intercom Messenger (web, iOS, and Android), as well as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and SMS.

Fin can be enabled using a wide variety of content sources, including:
